Saturday

Heading Home...

Saturday we enjoyed a final breakfast with Lulu and then we headed to Newark Airport. Our flight was uneventful except for the fact that when we landed I realized my Nikon camera was no where to be found...was it in the taxi...in the airport...in the TSA security bin? I am so upset and have filed reports all over the east coast, and maybe some good samaritian will call me, but I doubt it.

When we got home it was mid-afternoon, and as we pulled into the driveway we heard the voices of the new family next door - their kids were all splashing and yelling in the pool. I realized that when we moved into HappyHill 15 years ago, OUR kids were the same age as THEIR kids are now! Bill said, "It's nice to hear the sounds of kids having fun next door!"

Our house was very quiet. The dogs & kitties were still at the kennel. I'll admit we both peeked into Willie's, then Lulu's, then finally Griffy's bedroom... and there was no one there. We assured each other that we felt fine, it's ok, we love the peace & quiet. I think that's how we feel... I'm actually not quite sure.

Thank God the kennel is open tomorrow morning!!!
